In most countries, architectural building styles are easily identified. It can be seen how structures are affected by climate and environmental changes that occurred over time. However, young Israel’s is extremely dynamic and diverse, constantly changing and reinventing itself - and at a fast rate.
The wonderful climate and abundance of sunshine here is something to take into consideration when planning your home in . Once finds a suitable for you to build a house on and helps turn the process of moving to Israel into an easy one, planning your home with Lavy Architects will also be a hassle free process, thanks to their many years of experience.
We asked Yonit and Shlomo what would be the most important aspects they would recommend, to potential clients. They both agreed that large windows are extremely important to help take advantage of the natural resources to illuminate your home during all seasons, as well as ventilate the interiors, adding, that the bigger the better.
Shlomo continued with additional useful tips, one of them regarding the surprisingly low maintenance costs when owning a swimming pool. “A dip in the swimming pool on a hot summer day, cools the body which significantly reduces the need for expensive air conditioning systems and not to mention the social benefits of having a family pool. Maintaining a swimming pool isn’t actually expensive. In fact, it’s even cheaper than maintaining a similar sized plot of lawn, once you’ve learned how to maintain the pool yourself”.
Yonit’s tip was for the cooler months of the year; “When it comes to winter, there’s nothing nicer and more efficient then underfloor heating, rising from below your feet and spreading throughout your home.”
Yonit explained that a few years ago this would require expensive water pipelines that would have to be installed during the first construction phases and would also be expensive to maintain. Today there are several alternatives including modular electric heating panels that can be easily installed beneath thin parquet floors, offering the exact same experience and suitable for any pocket.
Lavy Architect's has years of experience in climate-compatible in Israel, taking their clients special requirements and desires, and bringing them to life whilst building their dream .
