HiCenter was established in 2008, as an entity supported by the Innovation Authority (then the Chief Scientist’s Office) to invest in seed-stage tech companies, by the Haifa Economic Corporation (HEC) and the Haifa Municipality. Wishing to provide a comprehensive support system for the development of tech ventures in Haifa, and since there are no other entities that provide such support, HiCenter
has extended its activity to include additional services necessary for the foundation and development of startups. As such, it provides startups and entrepreneurs with business assistance, help raising capital and even direct incentives through the In-VENTech program. We are currently working on a new program at HiCenter focused on encouraging investors to finance startups in Haifa. HiCenter מובילה את הפעילות היזמית, עסקית טכנולוגית ברובע החדשנות ותומכת בחברות הזנק ויזמים בפיתוח החברה ויצירת סביבה עסקית המאפשרת למקסם את סיכויי הצלחתן, במטרה לבנות חברות מצליחות אשר תתמקמנה בעיר ותהוונה מנועי צמיחה לכלכלת העיר בכלל ולהתפתחות תעשיית היזמות הטכנולוגית בפרט. HiCenter, בראשה עומדים אנשי מקצוע מובילים בתחומם, מעניק לחברות הזנק סיוע עסקי, סיוע בגיוס כספים, ותמריצים ישירים בגובה של עד 500 אלף שקל לחברה.
מאז הקמתה ועד היום HiCenter הינה שותפה ומובילה בקהילת ההייטק המתפתחת בחיפה, עורכת ומקדמת אירועי תוכן מעשירים ופתוחים לקהל, מובילה "מועדון משקיעים" המרכז אליו משקיעים מרחבי הארץ ומהווה מוקד עניין בינלאומי לשיתוף פעולה של שלושת המגזרים: ממשלתי, עירוני ופרטי, המקדם בהצלחה חברות הזנק ומהווה קטר להתפתחות אקוסיסטם יזמי שלם.
