🎓🏠 Heading to college? Don’t let a rental scam catch you out.

Finding student accommodation can be stressful — and unfortunately, scammers know it.

Before you pay a deposit, STOP and CHECK:
🔎 Check the property – make sure it exists and, where possible, view it in person.
📱 Check the landlord – be cautious if they will only communicate through WhatsApp or social media.
💶 Check the payment request – never feel pressured to pay immediately or send money through unusual payment methods.
📄 Check the paperwork – make sure you have proper contact details, a receipt and a tenancy agreement.
🚩 Trust your instincts – if the rent seems too good to be true or you’re being rushed into a decision, take a step back.

Never let the pressure to secure a room override your common sense.

What a lovely evening! ☀️💚

We recently enjoyed a summer BBQ at The Old Thatch Killeagh Cork , with our team members, directors and volunteers.

It was fantastic to get everyone together on such a warm summer’s evening, enjoy some great food and have a chance to relax and catch up outside of our usual day-to-day activities.

Events like these are a great way to bring our whole Credit Union team together in a warm, relaxed and friendly environment — and to celebrate the people who give their time and commitment to our Credit Union and our members.
