"We are an alliance of political organisations, elected representatives, housing / homelessness groups and non-aligned individuals. We have come together to launch a new campaign for public housing in Ireland.

We believe that the timing is now right for a new campaign for public housing - with access to high quality public housing for anybody who wants it as its goal.

Fifty years of housing policies designed to incrementally privatise all aspects of housing provision have brought us to the point of crisis we are now in.

At no point in recent decades have so many people had so much to gain from the creation of a new approach to housing based upon the concept of universal access to public housing.

The successes of the water movement have given a new confidence to hundreds of thousands of people to fight back. We want to use our collective new-found strength to fight for a system of public housing.

Join us! All groups and individuals who believe that public, mixed income housing is the only way to tackle the housing crisis are welcome.

Currently, our supporters include Peter McVerry, Inner City Helping Homeless, Éirigí, The Workers' Party, The Communist Party of Ireland, North Dublin Bay Housing Crisis Community, Cllr. Cieran Perry, D8HAC Altogether Now, 1916 Societies, Clare Daly TD, Mick Wallace TD, Catherine Connolly TD, S.P.A.R.K. (Single Parents Alliance), Housing Action Now, Erica Fleming."

There is only one viable solution which can serve the interests of the people of Ireland. The state must build, provide and manage public housing.

El 14 de Octubre celebraremos un acto de memoria y de lucha en el que la consigna LA TAREA ES LA REVOLUCIÓN, será el guion de la totalidad de los y las ponentes que participen. Nuestro SG, Carmelo Suárez, encabezará una parrilla de intervenciones nacionales e internacionales, en la que los diversos/as ponentes nos ilustrarán, desde el conocimiento teórico y práctico, de todo aquello en lo que hoy nos sigue marcando Octubre y de las tareas inmediatas y futuras que nos impone el tratar de estar a la altura de aquello héroes y heroínas del Proletariado que, con su Partido Comunista a la cabeza y con un entrega absoluta y sin límites materiales e ideológicos, tomaron el testigo de la Comuna y abrieron la puerta definitivamente a la liberación completa de la Humanidad trazando el camino hacia el fin de la explotación y la sociedad dividida en clases.

In 1965 one of the largest Communist parties in the world at that time ( The Indonesian Communist Party) was almost completely wiped out. Little known about in the west, rarely discussed in the history books.
