It has been an historic week for both Borrisokane and Premier Credit Union.
On Tuesday, both credit unions came together ahead of the completion of the merger on Friday morning. Pictured celebrating the merging of the banking systems are Brian King, CEO of Premier Credit Union, and Claire Donnelly, CEO of Borrisokane Credit Union.
When Borrisokane opens its doors on the morning of Friday, 6th March, it will do so as part of the Premier Credit Union family, joining the branch offices in Thurles, Roscrea, Urlingford and Killenaule.
Both CEOs would like to sincerely thank the staff and management teams of both offices, their Boards, the BOC Committees of both Premier and Borrisokane Credit Unions, and most importantly our members for all their support ahead of the opening on Friday morning.
While Friday will represent Borrisokane’s first day as part of Premier, we look forward to holding a formal launch of the merger in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, Premier Credit Union looks forward to welcoming all Borrisokane members and getting to know you, along with the many great clubs and organisations in Borrisokane and the surrounding communities that play such an important role in local life and will now become part of the Premier Credit Union family.

As we prepare for the final stage of the merger between Borrisokane Credit Union and Premier Credit Union, our office will close on Tuesday, 3rd March at 12.30pm to facilitate this exciting transition.

We’ll reopen as part of Premier Credit Union on Friday, 6th March at 10:00 a.m. 🎉

Please note our opening hours on Friday, 6th March will differ slightly:
🕙 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
🕑 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Normal hours will apply from Monday the 9th of March.

We look forward to welcoming you through our doors on the 6th of March as part of Premier Credit Union. This new chapter will bring extended services, enhanced digital options, and even more support for our members and community. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support — exciting times are ahead! ✨
