Agriland is flagging an increase in bloat risk this week as clover content rises in swards. Swards with clover content above 40% pose a serious threat to grazing livestock, particularly if animals are moved from grass-only paddocks when hungry.

To limit risk, identify high risk paddocks, use strip wire to allocate grass, apply bloat oil consistently, and include fibre in the diet.
