We are sad to announce the untimely death of our Secretary, Madaleine Harford. Madaleine has been a member of the Fingal Horticultural Society for over 30 years and during this time she has been the backbone of the society, organising our annual show each year, as well as many talks and tours over the years. She was also a frequent exhibitor and supporter of the various horticultural shows across North Dublin. May she rest in peace.

Our 2020 Fingal Horticultural Show was held in St. Colmcilles G.F.C., Swords on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd August. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's show was very different to normal. We had a reduced schedule, with no cookery, handcrafts or childrens sections. The show was restricted to society members and regular exhibitors only, and was not open or advertised to the public. And public health guidelines were observed, with all exhibitors keeping a distance from each other and wearing face coverings while inside the hall. But none of this stopped us from putting on a good show!
