John Mc Cormack is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and is now a recently qualified PIP (Personal Insolvency Practitioner) certified in Mortgage Arrears resolution. John was appointed by the Insolvency Service Of Ireland as one of the first PIP’s in County Kildare. John is Managing Director of Rebate Insolvency Solutions and Rebate financial Solutions and is based in Acorn business Park in Rath

angan Co Kildare. The Role of the PIP is to Act between the Debtor (the person in financial difficulties ) and the creditors (the lenders), to act as an intermediary in finding a solution. This process will resolve the financial difficulties of the debtor, returning them to solvency after a period of time, if they are currently Insolvent. The role of the PIP is supervised by the insolvency service of Ireland. The role of the PIP was established by the Personal insolvency Act 2012. The first thing to do when in financial trouble is to communicate with your lender either directly or through an intermediary, this is part of the criteria in dealing with insolvency. The mortgage holder is also protected by the Code of Conduct of Mortgage Arrears (CCMA) and the Mortgage Arrears Resolution Arrears Process (MARP) with their lenders. We offer a debt solution service with lenders where we act to get you a forbearance measure with your lender. Financial institutions do try and give Long term and short term forbearance to customers in order to allow them remain in their homes. Never the less, it is better to try and get a solution outside of insolvency, however, if you have no choice and no other alternative then it is not a bad alternative to seek the protection of the current legislation which will enable you to return to solvency over a number of years. We are here to help, to assist and support you through these difficult times so if you have questions feel free to e mail me [email protected] or call me on my mobile 087 2065626
