❌ The New OnThePaceNote App ❌
Rather than replying to everyone individually, I’m going to give an update from our side.
After major backend updates, the app ran well for Parc Fermé and SS1. However, people (including myself) then struggled to gain access 🤯
Our developers worked flat out yesterday, gathering data to identify and solve the issue. By the final loop, the app was working perfectly.
We also discovered that notifications were taking up to two minutes to reach everyone. Again, this is something we will fix.
Even though the live stream was difficult to access early in the day, ALL stage-end interviews were recorded and are now available in the app for everyone to watch — and for much longer than 30 days, unlike Facebook!
We’ve seen plenty of comments asking, “Why didn’t you just stay on Facebook?” and similar questions.
The reality is that staying as we were was not an option. Trust us, we are building a better platform. There will absolutely be bugs along the way, but after yesterday we are much closer to having a great app that people will enjoy and become familiar with.
We’ve provided live rally coverage for 9 years and over 200 rallies. We’ve had two challenging days, and understandably some people are unhappy.
Back in 2017 and during the early years, we had plenty of issues too — audio problems, poor phone coverage, and countless other challenges. People just don’t remember those days!
➡️ Our app is not an “off-the-shelf” plug-and-play platform. It’s a brand-new bespoke product that has taken eight months to develop. I could be mistaken, but I believe we may be the only motorsport media company with a bespoke live-streaming app that can broadcast directly to viewers from a phone.
*We have multiple updates still to come, including Australia and worldwide access. We’re actively working on these, so please keep the faith. 🤞🙏
Thanks to everyone who has signed up and supported us.
See you at the Bear Competitions Tyrone Stages next Saturday 🎥👊🏻
