The Arch-Confraternity Credit Union has its beginning in the Spring of 1962 when a study group was formed with a view to setting up a credit union for the members of the Arch-Confraternity at the Redemptorist Church in Limerick. Clements Hall, beside the Redemptorist Church and by close of business that night, it had two hundred members and they had deposited savings of over £700.00. In 1970, with

the increase in its business, the Credit Union purchased a building at 69 O Connell st., in the heart of Georgian Limerick and transferred the office there. In 1997, the Credit Union changed its bond of assocation to an area based Credit Union.
