We are one of the largest Credit Unions in Galway and our members' preferred financial institution.

Many of you will remember our colleague Aoife Quinn sharing her story of living with Friedreich's Ataxia earlier this year. This week brought disappointing news, as the HSE Drugs Group recommended that the first approved treatment for the condition, Skyclarys, should not be reimbursed at this time. A final decision will be made on 25 August.

We stand with Aoife and all those living with FA, and we hope this decision will be reconsidered. Please take a moment to learn more and help raise awareness by sharing.

Today marks a significant milestone for St. Columba's Credit Union, as Eileen Dunleavy completes her final day as CEO after almost 30 years of dedicated service.

Throughout her career with us, Eileen has been a driving force behind the growth and success of St. Columba's, guiding the organisation with integrity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to our members and community. Her contribution to the credit union movement, and to this organisation in particular, has been immense.

On behalf of the board, staff, and members of St. Columba's Credit Union, we extend our sincere congratulations to Eileen on an outstanding career and our heartfelt thanks for everything she has given over the years.

We wish her every happiness as she begins this new chapter in retirement.

As part of our commitment to enhancing your banking experience, we will be transitioning our current account debit cards from Mastercard to Visa. All current account holders will receive a new Visa Debit card in the coming days, along with a notification in the post.

The new look current account debit card is powered by Visa and comes with trusted benefits and enhanced features.

The card will be issued to all existing and new credit union current account members. Your existing Mastercard will remain active until you activate your new Visa Debit card.

More details will be shared closer to the time.
