The great debate, is the Stira logo so bad it’s good?
Yes our logo was created back in the 90s, no computers were involved, it was designed (not by a designer) using paper, pencil and a ruler. We are aware of its issues and have tried multiple times to change it, we have hired design companies, a number of companies have come up with alternatives, we have had design agencies offer to change it but we haven’t found something that would be a suitable replacement. None of them felt right to us.
Our reasons for keeping it;
• It’s been our logo for a long, long time.
• The founder of the company, and father to the current owners designed it.
• In a sea of similar modern logos it stands out like a sore thumb.
• It’s a very well known logo in Ireland.
Reasons we should change it;
• The reasons listed above.
• We are expanding into the UK and there’s no nostalgia for it over there.
• Someone on reddit said it makes it looks like we’re selling step ladders.

We are probably too attached to it to change it in Ireland, but should we change it for the UK market?
