Please note that due to the European May Day Bank Holiday on Friday, 1st May 2026, there will be no processing of SEPA standard payments or Direct Debits on this date.

Sepa Instant payments will continue as normal and you can carry out instant transactions on this date.

While credit unions and banks are open in Ireland on that day, the European holiday means that standard electronic payments in Euro cannot be made to bank accounts in Ireland or anywhere else across Europe.

To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend that members make any important outgoing or incoming payments early on Thursday 30th April.
