Good afternoon wa-Kenya. Just thought we'd post our Frequently Asked Questions here so that most who might have the same queries can be assisted.
Q. How will I benefit by joining Kenya Ireland Diaspora Sacco?
A. There are many benefits. We will post one benefit each day.
As Kenyan Diaspora, it is sometimes difficult to accumulate enough funds to invest back home on your own. Within a SACCO, funds are not only pulled together and re-invested but it creates a habit and discipline of saving. The SACCO is group led and everyone decides what Investments we go into through open discussions in meetings and voting.
We are now moving towards being a fully fledged professional SACCO and we will all receive training as members on how to Manage, save, invest, receive products such as loans in our 3rd AGM which will be held in November 2017. Our collective numbers also help us bargain, negotiate and engage with Government Institutions to enable us not to be conned or taken advantage of as Diaspora.
