Between 1816 and 1820, five trustee savings banks were established across Ireland to provide a place where customers could save their money safely.

Starting with Waterford Savings Bank (1816), Cork Savings Bank (1817), Dublin Savings Bank (1818), Monaghan Savings Bank (1819) and Limerick Savings Bank (1820) soon followed.
These institutions laid the foundations for the PTSB of today and we continue to proudly serve customers in each of those original five communities.

PTSB's in-app Gambling Block allows customers to instantly block debit and credit card transactions classified as gambling, helping you control how you spend your money.

It’s another way we are helping customers protect their financial wellbeing. Find out more about this feature on our website: https://www.ptsb.ie/financial-wellbeing/gambling-block/

From the vibrant atmosphere to the sense of community felt throughout the showgrounds, this year's Tullamore Show was a fantastic celebration of Irish life.

For PTSB, events like these provide a valuable opportunity to be present in the communities it serves, to listen, learn and connect with people face to face. Whether through conversations with customers, local businesses or families enjoying the day, the event offered countless moments to engage with the people at the heart of communities across Ireland.

A fantastic day at the Tullamore Show!

PTSB was delighted to spend the day meeting customers, families, farmers, business owners and local communities from across Ireland. Events like these provide a valuable opportunity to connect face to face, gain first-hand insight into the experiences and ambitions of customers, and hear directly about the issues and opportunities that matter most to them.

From familiar faces to new connections, the atmosphere throughout the day was incredible, and the PTSB team thoroughly enjoyed being part of one of Ireland's best-loved agricultural and community events.
