For the weekend that's in it, we thought we'd skip the (non-native) wines and taste Irish whiskey and beer!
Prizefight Irish whiskey is a cracking whiskey aged in Rye barrels to give a lovely finish to the whiskey. It ain't cheap at €55 but try it and decide - it's on tasting in McCabes Blackrock all weekend.
The 2017 saison beer from Dot Brew is a cracker! From its fruity and very fresh nose to the long dry finish it's another great beer from our favourite craft beer producer.
Again not cheap at €3.99 per btl but try before you buy!
