Larkhill & District Credit Union is a community based credit union. Our primary objective is to promote thrift and provide credit at a fair and reasonable rate of interest. We are member owned and controlled. We operate in line with the Credit Union philosophy:

Our vision is that Larkhill & District Credit Union will satisfy the social and

economic needs of our members, with dignity and integrity, by offering, in the co-operative manner and on a not for profit basis, full financial services to everyone in the community who wishes to join. Mission Statement

We are excited to share the news that Larkhill & District Credit Union is a finalist in the Social Dividend Initiative (Social Impact) category at the All Ireland Credit Union Awards for our role in supporting the Making Memories Café - Whitehall, Dublin.

For Larkhill & District Credit Union, the Making Memories Café is one of our proudest
initatives and really is all about people helping people. The Café improves quality of life, reduces isolation, supports carers, promotes inclusion and helps build a stronger community in Dublin 9.

We are absolutely over the moon to share that Joan McSweeney, who has been involved with Larkhill & District Credit Union for over 40 years, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Credit Union Person of the Year Award. 🏆🥳

Over the years, Joan has been involved in pretty much every voluntary role within our Credit Union, including Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and many more.

She has helped shape Larkhill & District Credit Union through decades of change, supported generations of volunteers and played a lasting role in ensuring that LDCU remains at the heart of the community here in Dublin 9.

The awards take place in October and we will be there to cheer you on. . Thank you, Joan and congratulations from all the staff, Board, volunteers and members of Larkhill & District Credit Union.

This means that, in the event of a member’s death, an additional benefit may be added to their savings, helping to provide support for their family.

When you are a member of Larkhill & District Credit Union and use our services, you are helping support the local community.

Thanks to our members, we were able to support local activity groups and summer camps that helped well over 100 local children enjoy trips to Clara Lara and other summer activities.

This included groups such as Greenfields Youth Club, D9 Happy Hangout and Larkhill Legends

We hope everyone had a great summer and wish all children and parents the very best as the school year begins.
