The school bank will be open this Thursday for sure from 1:10 in the circulation area. ( I know the posters say every Thursday but the past few weeks we have been to busy to open, so sorry about that!). New members are very welcome, all you need to open an account is €5 . If you are planning on lodging money please try and bring in your account number if possible. Thank you 😊

This is a reminder to all students that the bank will be open this Thursday in the circulation area. Due to the 1916 celebrations and Seachtain na Gaeilge we will not be able to visit senior cycle students at tutor period this week. Here are just a few of the ideas we were going to inform you of:

1)You need a bank account number to apply for college grants eg: SUSI. If you join the bank now you will not have to worry about this aspect of the application as the deadline draws close.

2)You will need a bank account if you are planing on getting a job over the summer. You most likely will not get paid until you provide your employer with a bank account number.

3)Whether you are in 4th 5th or 6th year you will need to start saving for your debs. The sooner you start the better! if you lodge 5 euro to your account each week, you would have all your costs sorted by your debs!

Please think about joining the bank because if we manage to open 20 more accounts by May we will win an ipad for the school.

Next week we will be visiting all 6th and 5th year classes at tutor period to inform you of the benefits of having an account with us for saving for the Debs. We will also inform you of the necessity of a bank account if you have or will soon have a job and for college grants.
