We had a fantastic evening last Thursday at the The Montenotte Hotel in Cork for our annual Quintas Capital Investor Summer BBQ, bringing together some of our valued investors and friends for an afternoon and evening of great conversation, insight, and connection.

We were delighted to host a panel discussion during the evening featuring Oliver Moloney CFA, CIPM, Chief Investment Officer of Fordel, and Fawad Tariq Khan, ex-CEO of SHUAA Capital and shareholder at Quintas Capital, with the conversation expertly led by our CEO, Kevin Canning.

A big thank you to our Marketing & Events Associate, Jenny Wall, and Investor Relations Manager, Kim Ronayne, for all their work in making this a very successful event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us - we hope you found it both engaging and enjoyable.

We’re always delighted when our monthly subscription from All Real Nutrition arrives at both our Cork and Dublin offices. A great team creating great products, made with real ingredients and a real commitment to quality.

As one of our portfolio companies through our EIIS investments, it’s been fantastic to watch All Real Nutrition continue to grow its brand and expand its reach while staying true to its values. Congratulations as well to the team on the launch of their new Almond Choc Chip flavour, we’re looking forward to trying it 👏

Well done to Niall Harty, Ross McDowell and the wider All Real team on the continued momentum and innovation.

A great afternoon on Wednesday at the Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre for Cork Chamber of Commerce's Networking at Noon event. Our Investment Manager, Tim O’Callaghan, was delighted to attend, connect with local business leaders, strengthen existing relationships, and make new connections across the Cork business community.

The event offered an insightful look into the history and journey of one of Ireland’s most recognisable food brands, with the added bonus of sampling some of Clonakilty’s renowned products along the way.

Thank you to Rory Copplestone and the Clonakilty Food Co. team for the warm hospitality, and to Cork Chamber for organising another excellent networking event in West Cork.

Many business owners do not realise how complex public market investing through an Irish holding company is. In reality, it can quickly turn into a tax minefield.

From close company surcharges to unexpected tax treatment on passive income, many directors only discover the risks after the fact. The structure that looks efficient on paper can end up creating costly surprises if it is not set up correctly.

In this latest blog, our CEO Kevin Canning explores:
• The common tax traps investors overlook
• Why passive investment income can become problematic
• How holding company structures should be assessed strategically
• The importance of aligning investment decisions with long-term succession and wealth planning

For entrepreneurs, business owners and company directors, understanding these rules is essential before making investment decisions through your company.

On Wednesday evening, our CEO Kevin Canning and Investor Relations Manager Kim Ronayne attended our first The Sporting Club Ireland event since Quintas Capital recently became sponsors, and we are delighted to say it exceeded expectations.

The event, “An Evening with GAA Legends”, was held at the fantastic venue Pitch Ireland, in the heart of Dublin, and featured a superb panel of guests including Peter Canavan, Paddy Andrews CFP® MBA, Neil McManus, and Anthony Daly, expertly moderated by Hugh Cahill.

Filled with great conversations and fascinating insights (Anthony Daly - we’ll be keeping an eye on those predictions!), the evening provided a brilliant opportunity to connect face-to-face, exchange ideas, and enjoy a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.

A special thank you to Mark Brandon and Aoife Keehan for bringing everything together so seamlessly. What you are building is something very special, and we are delighted to be part of this exciting journey.

We are looking forward to the next event, “A Lunch with Harry Redknapp”, taking place on 12th June at Clontarf Castle Hotel. A few remaining tickets to purchase via their website: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0vlFmx0

A beautiful evening at RDJ LLP’s Cork office for their Fempower 2026 event on Monday evening, where Kim Ronayne, our Investor Relations Manager, and Jenny Wall, Marketing & Events Associate, had the opportunity to hear from an inspiring panel of voices from across the worlds of arts, culture, and business.

The event featured incredible speakers including Fiona Shaw and Dorothy Cross, alongside panelists and contributors who shared thoughtful insights on leadership, creativity and the power of connection.

A huge thank you to Gillian Keating, Maria O'Donoghue, Aisling O'Donovan and the wider team at RDJ for hosting such a well organised and engaging event in the heart of Cork City. We were delighted to attend and connect with so many inspiring professionals throughout the evening.

Great to get the Quintas Capital team together at our Dublin office in Merrion Square for our Q2 planning day.

It was a great opportunity to step back from the day-to-day, align on priorities for the months ahead, and spend time collaborating in person as a team.

Thank you to Brian Dwyer from Madra Mor Media, who captured some fantastic new photos and video content throughout the day for the redesign of the new Quintas Capital website.

We’re looking forward to sharing the outcome soon.

Our CEO, Kevin Canning, and Investment Manager, Tim O’Callaghan, were delighted to attend The Bookshelf Live with Ryan Tubridy, hosted by PTSB at the Cork Opera House last Thursday.

On this live podcast, Ryan Tubridy, the renowned broadcaster, author, and book lover, sat down with household names Francis and John Brennan to explore the books that have influenced their lives. The conversation was engaging, insightful, and full of humour.

Great to see continued progress from one of our portfolio companies from our Quintas EIIS Fund 2024, Zenith Childcare.

Construction is well underway on their new Mungret Gate facility in Limerick, with both this and their Castletroy location set to open in September 2026. This will mark Zenith’s third crèche, as they continue to roll out purpose-built childcare centres across Ireland to meet growing demand for high-quality early years infrastructure.

Backed by our EIIS fund, Zenith is focused on creating safe, inclusive environments where children can learn, play and thrive, while working closely with families and communities to support early development.

We’re looking forward to seeing these new facilities come to life and the positive impact they will have for families in the local community.

Founders Charlene Roche and Stephen Moore are creating an incredibly important space in Ireland, and we are thrilled to be part of their journey.
