A significant occasion for McCarthy Insurance Group as we celebrated the official opening of our new Dublin office last week.

It was a pleasure to welcome clients, colleagues, business partners and friends to mark this important milestone in our continued growth. Thank you to everyone who joined us and has supported us along the way.

Next year, McCarthy Insurance Group will celebrate 75 years in business. While much has changed in our industry since 1952, our commitment remains the same: providing our customers with local, reliable insurance advice from real people who understand their needs.

Our new Dublin office represents another step in that journey, and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers for many years to come.

McCarthy Insurance Group is delighted to have been recognised at the Private Healthcare Awards 2026 on Friday evening, shortlisted across three categories for our contribution to the healthcare industry.

Our Health Department – Alan Cleary, Shaun Taggart and Niall Best – took home the Best Collaboration Project 2026 award alongside our provider partner, Irish Life Health. The award reflects relationships built over two decades and a shared commitment to putting customer service at the heart of what we do.

This was our third year attending the awards, and we were proud to see the team's work recognised among strong competition. Our congratulations to all the winners and finalists across the industry.

Harry McNulty, Cillian Redmond, Bryan Mollen from Gael Force Sevens visited our Dublin office last week, where they were welcomed by Brendan Harrington (CEO, MIG), and Charlie McCarthy (Chairman, MIG).

Supporting teams like Gael Force is something we are proud to be part of, and supporting Irish sport at every level remains close to what we do.

Being able to deal with the same person for a quick query one week and a more significant issue the next, and getting a considered, thorough answer either time, is something we work to maintain across all of our branches. This review reflects exactly that, and it is a credit to Rachel, based in our South Mall branch in Cork, and the standard she holds herself to with every customer she deals with.

Behind every dog trained by AADI are months of preparation and a whole network of people who make it possible.

Cara is one of those incredible dogs who went through full training to become a School Assistance Dog. She got her name through a colouring competition we ran, won by Caoimhe Brett from Scoil Íosagáin in Thurles – and McCarthy Insurance Group funded her training through to qualification.

That training is no small undertaking: each dog requires around €15,000 to train and prepare for the real world, the result of months of dedicated work before a dog is ready to take up its place.

For the children and staff who benefit, the difference is life-changing – confidence, independence, and a steady, comforting presence day to day.

McCarthy Insurance Group is proud to support Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland and the vital work they do for families across the country.
