Another energy supplier is raising prices. Pinergy is increasing residential electricity prices by 7.6% from 14 September, equivalent to around β¬169 a year for the average household.
It follows increases from Electric Ireland, PrePay Power, Yuno Energy and Flogas earlier in 2026.
The most effective response to rising bills isn't switching supplier, it's reducing how much energy your home needs in the first place. Insulation, a heat pump and solar panels can reduce your exposure to price increases outside your control.
Greenify loans through your local credit union can help fund these improvements.
