As part of the national and international organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting Irish traditional music, song, and dance, Cavan Town CCÉ continues to play a hugely important role in keeping our culture and heritage alive within the community.

With over 200 members of all ages - and a particularly strong focus on youth participation - the branch provides inclusive opportunities for people to learn, perform, and celebrate traditional Irish culture together.

This funding will support the hosting of the County Cavan Fleadh 2026, taking place this weekend - ensuring a successful and memorable event for performers, families, and the wider community.

This promises to be a fantastic celebration of music, culture, and community spirit, and we are proud to support an event that will bring people together while showcasing the rich tradition of Irish music and dance in County Cavan 👏🎶

Your radiators might be working harder than they need to.

Two quick fixes that cost little or nothing:
• Bleed them. If a radiator is hot at the bottom but cool at the top, trapped air may be stopping it from heating properly. Bleeding it can help restore even heat.
• Fit reflective foil behind radiators on external walls. This can help reflect more heat back into the room instead of losing it through the wall.

This newly established autism class, opened in September 2025, provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with additional needs - helping them to thrive through structured learning, communication development, sensory play, and hands-on activities tailored to their individual needs.

While core supports are provided through the Department of Education, additional specialised resources such as sensory equipment, communication tools, assistive technology, and classroom materials are essential in creating the best possible learning experience for the children. This funding will help ensure the classroom is equipped with the resources needed to support each student’s development, wellbeing, and inclusion within the wider school community.
