I was delighted to attend the official launch of the Pieta House Darkness Into Light Walks in Co. Roscommon last night.

I’m proud to continue working with the TY students and staff of Castlerea Community School, alongside my colleagues on the Castlerea Town Team, in supporting this important initiative. Walks will once again take place this year in Roscommon, Boyle and Strokestown.

The services and supports provided by Pieta House are invaluable — both in su***de prevention and in helping individuals and families in the aftermath of su***de.

I would strongly encourage as many people as possible to register for this year’s walk, taking place on Saturday 9th May at 4.00am: www.darknessintolight.ie

It was also great to meet former Senator Eugene Murphy at the launch.
