Big change to Irish electricity bills are now in place.

From June 2026 a new Dynamic Price Tariff for electricity will be available to customers, allowing prices to vary every half-hour based on wholesale market prices. This aims to help increase the use of renewables by shifting demand to periods of high generation. The tariff is best suited to customers with smart meters who have flexible usage.

Here's the key: the more electric your home is, through EV, heat pump, or solar, the more you stand to gain from cheaper off-peak rates. Greenify loans through your local credit union can help you make those upgrades a reality.

If you are interested in making green home or transport changes, contact us today by phone 1800 911 797 or email [email protected] to find out more about the loan process.

Visit www.greenify.ie for more information.

Loans are subject to approval. Terms and conditions apply. If you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating which may limit your ability to access credit in the future.

🌛 Are You Making the Most of Night Rate Electricity?

If you have a smart meter, you could be paying significantly less, just by shifting when you use electricity in your home.

Run these at the night rate to save:
🔋Dishwasher & washing machine
🔋Immersion heater
🔋EV charging
🔋Heat pump for a hot water boost

One thing to keep in mind is night rate works best if you can shift roughly 30% of your electricity use to off-peak hours, so identify what your biggest energy users are and try the switch to night rate when running them.
The more electric your home is, the more you save. A Greenify loan through your local credit union can help you get there.

Call 1800 911 797, email [email protected], or visit www.greenify.ie to see how Greenify can help you make savings on your home energy.

Loans are subject to approval. Terms and conditions apply. If you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating which may limit your ability to access credit in the future.

🏆 Credit unions have once again been ranked as Ireland’s most reputable organisation — for the fourth year in a row.

This recognition reflects the trust, support, and strong community connection that credit unions continue to build with members across Ireland every day.

Credit unions were also recognised as the most fair, friendly, genuine, and sincere organisation among the 100 organisations studied.
