St. Michael's Credit Union Our mission is to promote the financial well being of those who live and work in our communities St.

Michael's Credit Union is a democratic, financial co-operative owned and controlled by its members. We serve the financial needs of the community on a not for profit basis and have been doing so for over 50 years. The credit union philosophy is based on the idea of the community pooling their savings together to create a fund from which members can borrow when the need arises at very favourable rates.

FraudSMART is warning consumers to be on alert following a surge in AI-generated online adverts promoting bogus “state-backed” investment schemes.

These highly convincing scams are using:
⚠ Fake images and videos of trusted politicians and business figures
⚠ Claims of guaranteed returns
⚠ Urgent “limited time” investment opportunities
⚠ Registration links asking for personal details

Reports of investment scams to An Garda Síochána have risen by over 20%, with more than €20 million in losses reported.

Please remember:
🔒 Never share personal or banking details with unknown individuals
📱 Do not click on suspicious investment links
⏸ Pause and take time to check before making financial decisions
📞 Contact us or An Garda Síochána immediately if concerned
