The cost of attending & completing third level education and apprenticeships is a significant expense for many families 📚

The Donal O’Driscoll Student Bursary Award aims to help reduce some of this cost and help you take the next step in your education journey 🎓

This year, three lucky West Cork Students will each be awarded a €3,000 Educational Bursary for support in their third Level education adventure.

The bursaries of €3,000 each will provide financial support to three individuals embarking on third-level education or commencing an apprenticeship this year, and applications are open to all Access Credit Union members.

Applicants for the bursary must be members of Access Credit Union or open an account to be eligible to apply.

Applications must be submitted no later than Saturday 19th September 2026 to one of the Access Credit Union branches in Skibbereen, Bandon or Schull or online via www.accesscu.ie/bursary

Well done to all of the committee and volunteers at Bandon Agricultural Show for a brilliant event last Sunday 🐎🐄

Bandon Show is regarded as one of the top shows in Munster and has become the major showcase for exhibitors throughout the Munster region and even beyond.

Every year, the show brings together a great range of events from animal show competitions, to local crafts and fantastic food.

2026 Donal O'Driscoll Student Bursary Award 📚

If this sounds like you or someone you know, have you considered applying for the 2026 Donal O'Driscoll Student Bursary Award?

Three lucky West Cork Students will each be awarded a €3,000 Educational Bursary for support in their third-Level education adventure.

The bursaries of €3,000 each will provide financial support to three individuals embarking on third-level education or commencing an apprenticeship this year, and applications are open to all Access Credit Union members.

The bursary was launched in 2022 to honour the career and achievements of Access Credit Union’s late CEO, Donal O’Driscoll.

As somebody who was passionate about education and lifelong learning, Donal actively encouraged Access Credit Union staff to engage in further education and supported those who did.

Throughout his long term as CEO, Donal championed the Credit Union ethos of supporting and empowering members, particularly in the sphere of education.

Applicants for the bursary must be members of Access Credit Union or open an account to be eligible to apply.
