June is one of Ireland's sunniest months according to Met Éireann, with up to 7 hours of direct sunshine and up to 17 hours of daylight per day. On a good summer day, rooftop solar panels can generate 18 to 20 kWh, close to the average home's full daily electricity use.
The SEAI grant is currently worth up to €1,800. If there's a gap between the grant and the full cost of solar panels, our Greenify can help cover the shortfall.

Big change to Irish electricity bills are now in place.

From June 2026 a new Dynamic Price Tariff for electricity will be available to customers, allowing prices to vary every half-hour based on wholesale market prices. This aims to help increase the use of renewables by shifting demand to periods of high generation. The tariff is best suited to customers with smart meters who have flexible usage.

Here's the key: the more electric your home is, through EV, heat pump, or solar, the more you stand to gain from cheaper off-peak rates. Greenify loans through your local credit union can help you make those upgrades a reality.

If you are interested in making green home or transport changes, contact us today by phone 0402 39972 or email [email protected] to find out more about the loan process.

Visit www.greenify.ie for more information.
