$284M Now Lost to DeFi Hacks
New data from Messari shows that $284 million has been lost to DeFi hacks since 2019. On average, the amount stolen in each incident comes to $11.9 million. Flash loan attacks, flaws in smart contracts, exit scams and price oracle manipulation were the most common vulnerabilities. Some protocols are left permanently scarred by these hacks. Here’s why.
