This Earth Day, we saw something simple turn into something meaningful.
Over the past week, through our Run for Clove internal campaign, our colleagues found their own ways to contribute—beyond routines, beyond working hours.
Every 2 kilometers completed was converted into 1 clove tree, to be donated to farmers.
Some started their day earlier, running alongside the sunrise.
Some continued after long days at work, under the night sky.
Others made it a shared experience—running through the city together or even hiking in the mountains over the weekend.
Different moments. Different motivations. One shared purpose.
In just 9 days:
• 128 participants joined the cause
• 4,247 km completed
• 2,124 clove trees to be donated
Each kilometer became a step toward supporting the future of clove, an iconic plant originating from the Maluku Islands, and an important part of our value chain.
While clove trees can live for decades, their productivity declines over time. Replanting is essential to ensure continuity—for farmers, for industry, and for the generations ahead.
What made this initiative special wasn’t only the numbers, but the collective spirit behind it.
A reminder that sustainability is not always about grand gestures—sometimes, it’s about showing up, consistently, in our own ways.
