The cost of living in Europe has increased since 2000.
Only UK is an exception, where consumer prices are generally high, but there has been a notable decline over the last nearly 20 years. Households' expenditures in the East-European countries are much lower than the EU's average, even in the southern European States. The price level has increased strongly in Italy, but the countries of East-Europe, with a few exceptions, are quite stable. Due to the low cost of money and low inflation levels globally, the price levels in the most significant European countries have changed only slightly in these years. This will soon start to change as large central banks have completed the money flooding and are beginning to raise interest rates. As these processes spin, the level of inflation is gearing up, which in turn will increase the consumer prices. As inflation expectations and therefore the readyness to raise rates are to be increased, we can see several rate hikes from the different central banks in the years of 2019-2020.

By 2020 stress-induced anxiety disorders and depression will be the most common disease of cardiovascular diseases. This became the 2. most common workplace health complaint and almost every 4. worker suffers due to somekind of stress factor. Moreover, the growing level of lost working days due to stress, is becoming an increasingly important factor. This results a huge cost for both human exhaustion and declining performance. Certain level of stress is needed by a person to maintain activity. On the other hand, it is abnormal if someone has to cram in the stomach or feels badly from the thought of having to go to his workplace. Unfortunately, the consequences can quickly lead to self-harm or hostile behaviour, distrust, mental problems and finally performance degradation. Unfortunately, more than 1 million people are struggling with these symptoms in Hungary, but just 100’000 are reaching the health care. The general antidepressant product consumption does not give clear picture. For example in Korea, at the top of the list, is the highest suicidal tendency amongst the developed economies.
