Your money isn’t lazy. Your portfolio settings might be. 💤
Here’s a familiar situation: you top up your account, set up a portfolio, and then the cash just sits there. There are loans available, but your settings don’t match any of them.
The good news? It usually takes 5 minutes to fix. Here’s what to check 👇
1️⃣ Do your rates match your loan terms?
Higher rates come with longer terms. If you set 10.5% but limit the term to 180 days, your portfolio is looking for something that simply doesn’t exist, so it waits. And waits. Check the current rate-by-term breakdown in your account settings and adjust.
2️⃣ Who’s actually placing loans right now?
Not every loan originator has the same volume at any given moment. If you’ve picked a creditor with a small offer, or no loans listed right now, your funds will stay idle. Look at who’s placing the most loans and consider widening your selection.
3️⃣ Is the secondary market switched on?
It gives your portfolio access to more loans and more chances to put your cash to work. Turning it on is one of the easiest ways to cut idle time.
4️⃣ Is “Invest partly” enabled?
If a loan has less available than your set investment amount, your portfolio will skip it unless this option is on. Enable it, and you’ll invest whatever’s available instead of missing the loan entirely.
✅ Quick check, fewer idle days, more interest earned.
When did you last look at your portfolio settings? 👀
