📍 Održan Kick-off sastanak projekta A-VWPS – Development of the Autonomous Vertical Water Profiling System u Šibeniku! 🌊⚙️

U Šibeniku je održan početni sastanak partnera projekta A-VWPS, koji se provodi u okviru programa Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027, uz sufinanciranje Europske unije.

Projekt okuplja partnere:
🔹 Platforma 22 d.o.o. (Hrvatska)
🔹 B Solutions d.o.o. (Crna Gora)
🔹 DASSTIM d.o.o. (Bosna i Hercegovina)

Tijekom sastanka definirane su ključne aktivnosti razvoja inovativnog autonomnog sustava za vertikalno profiliranje vodenog stupca, namijenjenog primjeni u području plave ekonomije, znanstvenih istraživanja mora, akvakulture i upravljanja obalnim područjima. 🌍🔬

Projekt A-VWPS sufinancira Europska unija kroz program Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027, u okviru projekta EmBRACE, uz podršku HAMAG-BICRO-a.

Projekt doprinosi razvoju inovativnih i pristupačnih tehnologija za kontinuirano praćenje stanja mora te jačanju konkurentnosti malih poduzeća u programskom području. 🌊🚀

🚀 A new machine has arrived as part of the TeamForAdris project!

As part of the TeamForAdris project, a new machine has been delivered and will be used for the implementation of pilot activities and the testing of innovative technological solutions in real-life conditions.

The machine is equipped with a 316L stainless steel hot water tank with a capacity of 600 L and can process up to 900 pouches per hour. This equipment represents an important step in strengthening the technical and implementation capacities of the project.

We look forward to the continuation of the pilot activities and the results this equipment will help achieve! 🌊⚙️

Two productive days in Šibenik brought together TEAMFORADRIS project partners to discuss project progress, upcoming pilot activities, and the development of the ADRIS Digital Tool. 🌊🤝💡
Through constructive discussions, exchange of experiences, and coordination of next steps, partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to successful project implementation. ✅
The meeting concluded with a visit to the Platforma22 shellfish farm, where partners gained practical insight into local shellfish farming activities and the real-life context of upcoming pilot actions. 🦪🚤

Yesterday, we took part in the “Blue Careers Day” event in Zadar – a dynamic gathering focused on networking, career opportunities, and connecting young people with the blue economy sector. 🌊

At our booth, we presented our mussel and oyster farm, as well as the project we are actively working on, giving visitors—especially students and high school pupils—insight into real opportunities for learning, collaboration, and future careers in the blue economy.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, connected with us, and showed interest in what we do – it was great to exchange ideas and build new connections! 🙌

🌊 What’s threatening mussel survival in the Adriatic? We’re diving deep to find out.
As part of the TEAMFORADRIS project, we’re currently conducting mussel sampling at our shellfish farm site — a key step in understanding the complex environmental stressors affecting mussel populations in the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. 🐚
🧪 Why does this matter?
This research aims to pinpoint which ecosystem stressors — such as climate change, pollution, or invasive species — are contributing to the high mortality rates in mussels.
🔬 What are we looking at?
Through advanced genetic analysis, we’re exploring how environmental factors influence mussel survival and how natural selection shapes their ability to adapt. 🔬
📈 The bigger picture?
The outcomes will guide conservation strategies and inform policy-making to help protect mussel biodiversity in this ecologically and economically important region. Scientifically, this study adds critical insights into how human activity impacts marine life and the evolutionary forces at play. 🌍
