Cryptocurrency Tumbler 加密貨幣混幣器

It is a service to mix cryptocurrencies received from a pool and then send them to a recipient’s address. When users send their funds to the destination address, the network will hide the sender’s address to protect user privacy, ensuring an anonymous and untraceable transaction.

However, due to its anonymity, the crypto tumbler is also frequently used for money laundering or other illegal activities, exploiting the difficulty authorities face in crypto transactions. While crypto tumblers are not illegal for all, a lot of countries have limitations on their usage to prevent investors from incurring losses.

Kraken 將暫停 USDT、DAI、WBTC、WETH 和 WAXL 在加拿大的交易

Kraken to suspend transactions for USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH and WAXL in Canada

Due to the recent regulatory changes in Canada affecting crypto trading, the US- based crypto exchange has notified its users of the suspension of trading for USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH and WAXL in Canada.

This news may not come as a surprise since Kraken is not the first exchange to take such action. Coinbase and Crypto.com also made the decision to withdraw certain asset trading options in the Canadian market a few months ago. Users might see further suspensions if the regulations become stricter in the future.

香港證監會將更新虛擬貨幣銷售政策及要求
繼上個月JPEX 加密貨幣交易所的醜聞之後，香港證券及期貨事務監察委員會（證監會）宣布將更新貨幣指引，新規定僅允許專業投資者購買某些虛擬貨幣產品。當中也提到，加密貨幣產業的中介機構應對客戶對虛擬資產投資的了解進行評估，以避免大額投資損失。

Securities and Futures Commission will update the policies on virtual currency sales and requirements

Following the scandal surrounding the JPEX crypto exchange in the past month, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong announced that the currency guidelines will be updated with the new requirements that only professional investors are allowed to purchase certain virtual currency products.

It also mentioned that intermediaries in the crypto industry should have an assessment of the client's knowledge about virtual asset investments to avoid large investment losses.

法拉利開始在美國接受加密貨幣付款

Ferrari starts to accept crypto as payment in the US

On 14 October, the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari started to accept cryptocurrency as a payment. The scheme is now available for purchases of luxury sports cars in the US but it is expected to be extended to Europe soon.

The decision to accept crypto was made based on the increasing number of cryptocurrency investors in the market and the requests from dealers and wealthy customers. In the first stage, Ferrari partners with a major cryptocurrency payment processor, BitPal to sort transactions in Bitcoin, Ether and USD coin in the US.

NYDIG：儘管比特幣在第三季有所下降但仍年增 63.3%

According to the research done by NYDIG, a Bitcoin company that delivers a wide range of financial products, the report pointed out that Bitcoin has dropped by 11% in Q3 which was one of the worst-performing assets while a few more asset categories contended with the consequences of increasing interest rates and apprehensions regarding an economic recession.

However, comparing year-on-year, the data shows a 63.3% up in 2023, surpassing returns by a wide margin compared to all other assets, including stocks and bonds when they faced challenges due to higher interest rates and inflation.

The patent application of Paypal looking to create an NFT system was unveiled on 21 September, which discloses the payments giant’s plan. It discloses that PayPal will have a marketplace where NFT transactions can be conducted through a third-party service provider.

The proposed plan would also allow fractionalized NFT purchases, facilitating on-chain and off-chain transactions, which is then hoped to enhance NFT liquidity on a dedicated platform.

Arkham：Coinbase 是最大的比特幣持有者擁有價值 250 億美元的比特幣

Arkham: Coinbase is the largest Bitcoin holder with $25 billion worth of Bitcoin

Crypto intelligence platform Arkham has recently identified the holders of Bitcoin reserve and found that Coinbase holds 5% of BTC (947,755 BTC in total), which is $25B worth.

This makes Coinbase the largest holder of Bitcoin on the chain and Arkham believes that there is more BTC owned by the exchange platform that is not labeled and identified in the finding.

The leading financial firm is reportedly looking into blockchain-based deposit tokens that can be used to speed up payments and settlements. The new deposit tokens aim to serve a different purpose to the current JPM coin, as the deposit tokens allow clients to transfer between banks, and are used for different forms of settlements on a blockchain, including trades of tokenized securities.

Although the transaction process time can be speeded up as the coins are on a digital blockchain, the financial giant is waiting for approval from regulators in the US.
