Arrangement on disbursing the $20,000 subsidy to foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) employed at Wang F*k Court, Tai Po

All FDHs employed at Wang F*k Court in Tai Po at the time of the fire are eligible to apply for a special subsidy of HK$20,000. To facilitate FDHs’ applications for the subsidy, a special counter will be set up on 6 and 7 December 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) from 11:00 to 17:00 hours at 16/F, One Mong Kok Road Commercial Centre, 1 Mong Kok Road, Kowloon to answer enquiries and receive applications. Applicants can also return the attached application form by fax (3101 0604), email ([email protected]) or by post.

所有在火災時受僱於大埔宏福苑的外傭可申請2萬元的特別補助。為便利外傭遞交特別補助申請，勞工處將於2025年12月6日及7日（星期六及日）上午11時至下午5時，在九龍旺角道1號旺角道壹號商業中心16樓的外傭科辦事處設立特別櫃位，以便外傭親身遞交補助申請，並即場解答相關查詢。除親身遞交申請外，外傭亦可通過傳真、電郵或郵寄向勞工處遞交申請。

Labour Department (LD) announces arrangements for disbursing special subsidy of $20,000 to foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) affected by the fire at Wang F*k Court, Tai Po

The subsidy for FDHs supports FDHs who have originally worked at Wang F*k Court, Tai Po, to help them cope with the difficulties arising from the lack of family support in Hong Kong and the total loss of personal belongings in the fire. The LD is liaising with the relevant consulates-general in Hong Kong and the affected households to arrange applications for the subsidy by the affected FDHs. In addition, the FDHs concerned may download the application formhttps://www.fdh.labour.gov.hk/res/pdf/applicationform-fdhsubsidy.pdf and return the completed form by fax (3101 0604), email ([email protected]), by post or in person to the Foreign Domestic Helpers Division of the LD (Address: 16/F, One Mong Kok Road Commercial Centre, 1 Mong Kok Road, Kowloon).

For enquiries about the subsidy for FDHs, please call the LD hotline at 3582 8987.

The LD appeals to eligible FDHs to submit their applications as soon as possible. The department will process and verify the applications expeditiously and disburse the subsidies.

Labour Department sets up special enquiry counter for foreign domestic helpers on 29 & 30 November

The Labour Department is deeply saddened by the fire incident at Wang F*k Court in Tai Po. We extend our deepest condolences to families of those who tragically lost their lives and wishes all the injured a speedy recovery.

To provide assistance to foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) and their employers affected by the fire, the Labour Department will set up a Special Enquiry Counter to answer enquiries on FDH-related employment matters with details as follows:

Dates: 29 and 30 November 2025 (Saturday and Sunday)

Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Venue: Tai Po Complex (8 Heung Sze Wui Street, Tai Po, NT)

Affected FDHs and employers who have enquiries regarding employment matters may also call our dedicated hotline set up for this incident at 3582 8987.
