During the month, the Vietnamese stock market was supported by the official upgrade to Secondary Emerging Market status by FTSE Russell, following the successful March 2026 interim review. This landmark milestone places Vietnam alongside major emerging markets such as China, Taiwan, India, and Brazil, reflecting years of regulatory reforms led by the Ministry of Finance, the SSC, and the VSDC. Vietnam had been on the watchlist since September 2018.
