【工程夢飛航 ✈️】
香港國際機場第二航廈於昨天5月27日正式啟用，這不僅是基建升級，機場更是無數追夢者的起點🏃🏻‍♂️。來自巴基斯坦的Taha從修讀工程管理科學碩士到投入飛機工程公司開始執照實習🎓➡️🛠️，他以努力學粵語、參加本機構營運的「 Extra Mile 里・想高飛」之「先鋒」計劃，一步步走近夢想✨。碰上 #少數族裔 人士常會遇到的語言與文化差異的挑戰時，Taha選擇用專業的知識與友善的態度回應💪。在同儕與導師支持下，他終於把頭頂掠過的「鐵鳥」，變成親手維護的飛機🛫～

從巴基斯坦到香港，向飛機工程師夢想進發 ✈️

Taha Anees自小對飛機著迷，15歲那年參觀博物館， 首次近距離接觸飛機引擎同機翼，自此鍾情飛機，立志要參與飛機嘅製造同維修。佢喺家鄉讀大學時選修機械工程，於2022年毅然嚟到香港呢個國際航空樞紐追夢。

面對語言障礙和文化差異，Taha 從未放棄💪。佢喺機場就業資訊日「 Extra Mile 里・想高飛」項目嘅攤位獲得求職支援服務，之後成功受聘，成為飛機工程執照實習生。透過「先鋒」計劃，Taha積極學習廣東話，努力融入本地社群，慢慢拉近與同事之間嘅距離🤝佢期望將來成為資深飛機工程師，可以帶領團隊為飛機進行大型維修。

Taha 嘅故事印證咗，只要堅持追夢，終會有成功一天。Extra Mile 嘅「先鋒」計劃致力幫助非華語人士投身航空業，與機場公司攜手合力，共建一個多元及共融嘅機場社區。

From Pakistan to Hong Kong – Chasing the aircraft engineering dream ✈️

Taha Anees has been fascinated by planes since childhood. At 15, a visit to a museum gave him a first close up encounter with an aircraft engine and wings, sparking a lifelong passion for aviation and a determination to take part in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance. After studying Mechanical Engineering in his hometown, in 2022, he made a bold move to Hong Kong — an international aviation hub — to pursue his dream.

Despite facing language barriers and cultural differences, Taha never gave up💪. With job-seeking support from the Extra Mile booth at the Airport Career Day, he successfully got an offer as an Aircraft Engineering Trainee. Through the "Pioneer" Programme, Taha actively learnt Cantonese and strived to integrate into the local community, gradually bridging the gap with his colleagues🤝 He aspires to become a Senior Aircraft Engineer in the future, leading a team to carry out major aircraft maintenance work.

Taha's story proves that with perseverance in pursuing one’s dreams, success will eventually follow. Extra Mile's "Pioneer" Programme helps non-Chinese speakers join the aviation industry. Working hand in hand with the airport companies, the Programme strives to build a diverse and inclusive airport community.
