Our Advisory Partner, Mr. Wiley Pun, recently serves as an Accountant Ambassador for the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants) at the “Train-the-Trainer” workshop for the Institute’s Financial Education Teaching Manual. During the sharing session, Wiley provided practical financial education tools and professional insights to over 20 primary school teachers, equipping them in integrating financial elements into the Primary Humanities curriculum. 今早，第二屆香港會計界足球聯賽正式開鑼！致同香港榮幸成為賽事的金贊助機構之一，管理合夥人林敬義先生代表公司出席接受主辦方感謝狀，並參與開球禮。
開球儀式後，聯賽正式展開。GT足球隊旗開得勝，在首場比賽中以2:1擊敗EY，為球季開了一個好頭。
比賽中，GT足球隊展現出高水準的足球技術與團隊默契，全程發動凌厲攻勢，通過精準的中場組織和快速傳切，審計部同事林頌謙先入一球；其後，面對越下越大的雨勢，球隊依然保持頑強鬥志，防守端穩固嚴密，多次化解對方威脅，進攻端則把握機會，審計部同事羅仲銓再下一城射入第二球，最終戰勝了對手EY！

⚽️🏆 Congratulations to GT Football Team on a Winning Start!
This morning, the 2nd Hong Kong Accountants Football League officially kicked off! Grant Thornton Hong Kong is honoured to be one of the Gold Sponsors of the event. Managing Partner Mr. Daniel Lin represented the firm at the ceremony to receive the appreciation certificate from the organisers and participated in the kick-off ceremony.
Following the opening kick-off ceremony, the league matches officially began. GT Football Team secured a 2:1 victory against EY in their first match and set a strong tone for the season.
Throughout the match, GT Football Team demonstrated high-level football skills and excellent team coordination. They launched a powerful and aggressive attack, performed precise midfield organisation and swift passing combinations. Audit colleague Michael Lam scored the first goal. Later on, despite increasingly heavy rain, the team maintained strong determination and resilience. Their defence remained solid and well-organised, repeatedly neutralising the opponent’s threats, while the attack stayed clinical. Don Law from Audit scored the second goal with a well-taken strike, securing the hard-fought 2:1 victory over EY.
We extend our sincere thanks to all players for their outstanding performance and unwavering effort. We wish GT Football Team continued high morale and further success in the upcoming matches!

2. 管理層業績指標 (MPMs) 強制披露：規範替代業績指標(APMs)，將其定義為 MPMs 並納入審計。

International Financial Reporting Standard 18 (IFRS 18) has been issued and will be effective for annual reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027.

To help companies navigate this significant transition from International Accounting Standard 1 (IAS 1), Grant Thornton has published our “Insights into IFRS 18” series. We have identified 4 key pillars to help you get ready for this major change:

1. Income Statement Restructuring: Redefining categories and adding mandatory subtotals.
2. Mandatory Management-defined Performance Measures (MPMs) Disclosures: Bringing Alternative Performance Measures (APMs) into the scope of audited MPM notes.
3. Aggregation and Disaggregation: Enhancing the financial statement structure to ensure primary statements and notes work together effectively.
