Hand-in-Hand Youth Group Advances to National Round of Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition!
The Hand-in-Hand Youth Group is proud to announce its advancement to the National Round of the 4th Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2026 following an exciting and thought-provoking debate held on May 29, 2026.
Competing in Round 2, Match 2, our team emerged victorious against the Queen’s College Interact Club on the moot “Digital privacy should be recognized as a fundamental human right.” Both teams demonstrated impressive research, critical thinking, and public speaking skills, contributing to a highly engaging exchange of ideas.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the Queen’s College Interact Club for a commendable performance and for helping to create a debate that was both challenging and inspiring. Their contributions exemplified the high standard of competition that the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition continues to foster.
We are especially proud of our debating team comprising Brandon Singh, Anjeleena Persaud, and Aliyah David, whose dedication, preparation, and teamwork earned an average score of 205 points and secured a place in the National Round. Their performance showcased the talent, determination, and professionalism of the Hand-in-Hand Youth Group.
Special congratulations are extended to Brandon Singh, who was awarded the Best Debater title for his outstanding performance and contribution to the team’s success.
