As his posting officially comes to an end, the High Commission of Canada to Guyana 🇬🇾, Suriname 🇸🇷 and CARICOM would like to say THANK YOU to High Commissioner Sébastien Sigouin for his dedicated service and leadership! 🇨🇦

Throughout his tenure, High Commissioner Sigouin helped advance Canada's priorities in Guyana and Suriname by strengthening bilateral partnerships, promoting democratic governance (particularly during elections in both countries), supporting inclusive and sustainable development, fostering climate resilience, and encouraging greater trade, investment, and regional cooperation. From working alongside local partners on development initiatives to revitalizing Canada's engagement with CARICOM, he has been committed to building stronger, more resilient relationships across the region.

Now, it’s time for his next great adventure. We extend our warmest wishes to High Commissioner Sigouin and his wife, Lilian Godoy, as they embark on a happy, rewarding, and fulfilling retirement. May the years ahead be filled with joy, good health, new discoveries, and many memorable experiences.

Our fifth FPSO has arrived in Guyana, marking an important milestone for continued development of our offshore operations.

Named Errea Wittu, meaning “Abundance” in the Warrau language, the vessel celebrates Guyana's rich Indigenous heritage and the promise of opportunity and growth.

We are proud to see Guyanese companies and professionals contributing to milestones like this as the industry continues to grow.

As we celebrate the vessel's safe arrival, our teams are now focused on the next phase of work to prepare the Errea Wittu for start-up.
