Currently in Guatemala, there are about 50 teams and over 750 cheerleaders. However, there is only one cheerleading gym in the entire country, and unfortunately it does not have a full floor: It has 5 panel mats, thus, all competitions in Guatemala only have a 5 panel floor. Almost all teams in Guatemala practice tumbling, stunts, and routines outside on grass or inside on a concrete floor. Guatemala is in desperate need of a safe training center for cheerleading. My dream is to have a large multipurpose facility located in Guatemala to be used for:
- A fully equipped safe place for athletes to learn the fundamentals and technique of tumbling, stunting, cheer, and dance. RESET is not starting a new all-star program, however, the goal is to train and assist all of the existing teams in Guatemala, as well as individual dancers and cheerleaders.
- A youth center for all ages, including free tutors, snacks, crafts, TVs, games, and most importantly, a place of acceptance and hope for teens that usually spend their time on the streets. SUPPORT FINANCIALLY
-RESET Athletics has a lot of financial needs. RESET Athletics will have a large start up cost, including, but not limited to, gym equipment and rent/utilities for a facility. Due to the economic condition of Guatemala, RESET will charge a nominal fee for classes. Thus, RESET is in need of monthly sponsorships to help keep the gym functional.
-RESET Athletics is a ministry of Kingdom Connections International. All donations, monthly sponsorships and one-time gifts, are tax deductible. Checks should be made to Kingdom Connections International with "RESET Athletics" in the memo section.
