Turning climate ambition into investment requires projects that are ready to be financed — and partnerships that can turn commitments into action.

Speaking at the High-Level Session of the Istanbul Climate Finance Summit, BSTDB President Dr. Serhat Köksal highlighted the importance of project readiness, effective financing structures and stronger cooperation among governments, development institutions and the private sector to mobilise capital for climate action.

Across the Black Sea region, BSTDB is supporting this transition through investments in renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency and green finance.

BSTDB stands fully behind the Climate Implementation BRIDGE initiative and looks forward to serving as an active, constructive and reliable implementation partner, helping translate climate priorities into bankable investments and tangible results.

BSTDB at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) is participating in the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) as part of a joint pavilion under the Hellenic Chairmanship of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

Together with BSEC, PABSEC, ICBSS and the BSEC Business Council, we will showcase our shared commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, connectivity, trade and sustainable development across the wider Black Sea region.

This year’s TIF is especially significant as Japan is the Country of Honour, opening new opportunities for dialogue and strenghtend economic cooperation.

For BSTDB, this international dimension resonates strongly with our growing partnership with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), including our USD 150 million credit line supporting reconstruction, resilience and climate-related investments in our member countries.

📍 Join us at the BSEC Joint Pavilion and discover how regional and international partnerships can create opportunities for sustainable growth.
