🚀 SPEEDUP: Accelerating Sustainable Innovation Across the Mediterranean
Patras Science Park is proud to be the Lead Partner of the SPEEDUP project.
This project is supported by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
SPEEDUP brings together 7️⃣ partners from 7️⃣ Mediterranean countries to create a transnational network of innovation hubs supporting startups and innovative SMEs, with special attention to underrepresented target groups.
🤝 A Strong Mediterranean Partnership
The project consortium combines the expertise of leading innovation, business support, academic and entrepreneurial organizations from across the Mediterranean, including partners from Greece, Spain, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Cyprus and Tunisia. Together, they will work to strengthen innovation ecosystems, promote sustainable business growth and foster cross-border collaboration.
🎯 Project Aim
To strengthen Mediterranean innovation ecosystems by providing entrepreneurs and SMEs with acceleration services, mentoring, training, networking opportunities and access to resources that foster sustainable growth and investment readiness.
🌍 Expected Results
✅ Creation of 21 local innovation hubs across the Mediterranean
✅ Enhanced collaboration among regional innovation ecosystems
✅ Promotion of ESG principles, green innovation and circular economy practices
✅ Development and validation of an acceleration model for sustainable SME growth
✅ Engagement of 210 startups and innovative SMEs in acceleration activities
✅ Direct support to 140 SMEs through pilot implementation actions
Through SPEEDUP, partners will work together to build a more competitive, resilient and sustainable Mediterranean entrepreneurial ecosystem.
