Η bibi-bo κυκλοφόρησε το 1980. Κυκλοφόρησε δοκιμαστικά σε μικρότερη συσκευασία το 1978 και η κούκλα ήταν διαφορετική. Από το 1981 όμως κυκλοφορεί ευρέως και γίνεται η πιο αγαπητή κούκλα στην Ελλάδα! Μέχρι το 1987 είναι άσπρη η κούκλα (η λεγόμενη Ά περίοδος της bibi-bo). Το 1987 κυκλοφορεί πιο μαυρισμένη(η αποκαλούμενη Β΄περίοδο της κούκλας) χωρίς όμως να αποσύρονται οι άσπρες οι οποίες συνεχίζουν
να κυκλοφορούν αλλά χωρίς τα αξεσουάρ της Α΄περιόδου. Το 1989 μπαίνει πυρκαγιά στο ένα από τα δύο εργοστάσια και στην αποθήκη της el greco.
