The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and North American Marine Environment Protection Association - NAMEPA successfully concluded the 5th Trading in U.S. Waters Seminar, held on June 4, 2026, during .

Bringing together representatives from government, shipping, technology, international organizations, and the business community from both sides of the Atlantic, the seminar addressed the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of global shipping, including geopolitical developments, regulatory compliance, artificial intelligence, energy transition, maritime innovation, and international competitiveness.

The event reaffirmed the strategic importance of U.S.–Greece maritime cooperation and underscored the value of dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in navigating an increasingly complex global maritime landscape.

A highlight of the program was 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁’𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗸, where innovative U.S. maritime technology companies presented cutting-edge solutions in front of a distinguished panel of industry leaders and the seminar audience. The session featured the participation of U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic Kimberly Guilfoyle, alongside prominent representatives of the Greek and international maritime community, underscoring the importance of innovation and technology in shaping the future of shipping. The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce welcomed a distinguished delegation of U.S. Congressional staff members, alongside senior officials from the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a high-level discussion on strengthening Greece–U.S. economic and strategic cooperation.

During the meeting, AmCham Greece President John D. Saracakis and Executive Director Elias Spirtounias presented the Chamber’s strategic priorities and key initiatives supporting the Greek-American business and investment landscape.
