A free career training open to the Gambian public was held on the 22nd of January. We discussed the youth unemployment in the Gambia, the Job market, basics of the Gambian economy, what is an economy, how to create effective resumes, how to effectively apply for a job, how to answer tough interview questions and creating opportunity vs seeking opportunity and many more interesting topics. Lets face it, the education system does not prepare anyone for the challenging job market, which requires networking, communication, public speaking and Interpersonal skills among other abilities. The Gambian economy and job market is getting more advanced and this means citizens must upgrade their skills or face being left behind. Last year, a record number( above 80%) of students failed the WASSCE, which makes the job market even more challenging for them. We are encouraging young people to attend these trainings so they can equip themselves for success in this ever changing market. Follow the page for updates on future free training sessions.
