The latest development came with the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a football field by the ministry of youths and sports in Janjanbureh and we are enthralled and amused for being the contractors of this project.

It is our pleasant task this afternoon to preside on the occasion of laying of the foundation stone for the construction of Janjanbureh football field with the honorable minister of youths and sports. Under the leadership of our CEO Hatab Darboe, Topspot Properties is awarded and contracted with this project.

The ceremony was hosted this afternoon in the presence of Minister of youths and sports Bakary Y. Badjie, permanent secretary, Village Development Committees, and Sports heads and clubs; and among other guests.

The cost of the project is at a tone of D9million, it includes exterior and perimeter fencing, construction of two changing rooms, offices, restrooms and borehole drilling.

The minister had the honour of laying the foundation stone for the field along with his other executive.

In his address, Honorable Badjie said that the building of the football field shows the new dimension the Government is taking by investing in the area of football development in rural areas.

“we can’t never be able to excel in sport unless we’re able to have the right infrastructures in place and construction of this football field will help to the development of sport in the region and the Gambia as large,” he said.

“Construction of standard footballing pitch in rural areas is our ministry priority and want to see football player from rural areas competing and playing in good leagues in national and international levels,” he added.

Giving a vote of thanks and overview explanation of the project on behalf of Top-spot properties, Assan Darboe Admin manager expresses their profound gratitude and thank the ministry and the Government for awarding and entrusting Top-spot with the project and promised that Top-spot Properties will do its utmost best to give satisfactory and excellent result on time to the people of Janjanbureh.
