On Thursday, 30th April 2026, the Commerce students of Grades 10 to 12 from Yundum Barracks Senior Secondary School embarked on an educational visit to Gambia Armed Forces Cooperative Credit Union with the aim of understanding the operations and services of the union.
Upon arrival, the students were formally received by the Acting Manager, Major Fatou Betty Jammeh, and the Acting Deputy Manager, WOI Amadou Barry, alongside members of the Accounts Section. The session provided the students with valuable practical knowledge and insights into cooperative financial management.

On 15th December 2025, the Manager of the Gambia Armed Forces Cooperative Credit Union (GAFCCU), Major Fatou Betty Jammeh, together with members of the Board, officially presented tricycles and motorcycles to its esteemed members during a ceremony held at the GAFCCU Headquarters at Yundum Barracks.

GAFCCU Issues Christmas Loans to Members

The Gambia Armed Forces Cooperative Credit Union (GAFCCU) on Friday, 5th December 2025, disbursed Christmas Loans to its esteemed members at the Credit Union Headquarters in Yundum Barracks.

The presentation ceremony was presided over by the Account Clerk, Staff Sergeant Lamin Susso, and Junior Teller, Corporal Modou Camara, who jointly handed over the cheques to representatives from various units of the Gambia Armed Forces.

GAF Male Volleyball Team paid a visit to GAFCCU HQ
The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) Male Volleyball Team on Monday, 3rd November 2025, made an informal visit to GAF Cooperative Credit Union (GAFCCU) to express appreciation for the Union’s continuous support and encouragement.

The visit followed the team’s remarkable achievement of winning the Gambia Volleyball League for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, solidifying their position as one of the most successful volleyball teams in the country.

During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman and Manager congratulated the players and technical team for their outstanding performance and discipline. They also reaffirmed GAFCCU’s commitment to supporting sports development within the Armed Forces, recognizing the vital role sports play in promoting teamwork, discipline, and unity.

As part of the occasion, a token of appreciation was presented to the team in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
