[True Story] How I Went From Broke to Generating 7 Figures Online and Now Living In A Cosy 3-Storey House..

Yes, that's our home (been living here for close to 1 year now). Amazing infinity pool at the club house. Life is great. I'm sharing my life story not to brag but I hope this can inspire you and help you to go from zero to 7 figures too (and beyond).

The truth is... things weren't this amazing a few years ago...

The book I'm holding is the famous Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Millions sold and changed millions of lives (I'm one of them). It is not just any book.. this book changed my life "financially" and I'll explain how in this post.

I have to admit that for the first 23 years of my life, I never understood about "finance" or "money" or "investments". Family or school did not teach me about it. I come from a simple middle-income family so life was good.

Money wasn't an issue... until I started my first FULL-TIME job after graduating from university back in 2008. For the first time ever, I had to pay my own loans, bills, foods, entertainment etc. Earning only RM2,800 (USD$700) per month was okay at the beginning.

Then one day I came across this book and page 122's quote said.. Job is an acronym for "Just Over Broke". It sounds funny but that was the situation I was in. Not much savings after all my expenses. I realised that even if I work very hard for the next 35 years until I retire at the age of 58, with that amount of salary, I can never become a millionaire.

So I decided to CHANGE and take the LEAP OF FAITH.

I quit my full-time job to pursue Internet Marketing (IM) full-time from home. So I basically started my IM journey with zero income, left some money in the bank after paying off car loan and still need to pay for housing loan. Ate at home most of the time - delicious home cooked food by mom and it's free! While all my friends were partying, I was hustling at home. Every single cent was crucial.

As a beginner without any IT skills, it was tough. So I had no choice but to work very hard - 18 hours every single day trying to crack the code. The only time I rest was for breakfast, lunch, dinner, toilet break and to sleep. Other than that, I was in front of the laptop like a mad scientist trying to crack the code. Family and girlfriend (now wife) have no idea what I was up to but thankfully they were very supportive.

6 months later I finally made my first Clickbank affiliate sale. I thought I finally made it... but for the next 2 years, I still could not earn a stable income online. Finally in 2013, I created my own system and made some pretty good money as an affiliate - getting top 10 in some big launches with other Internet Marketing Gurus.

Since many people seek for my advice, one incident led to another and I finally gathered my courage to start coaching others on how to build profitable online businesses too. This was back in 2015.. and within 2 years, I've made over 7 figures (RM) in my coaching business alone - organising workshops, seminars, masterminds, online live coaching, webinars etc.

And at the same time, our e-Commerce businesses with Shopify is doing pretty well, generating 7 figures too. Shared our proven strategies with my students and 100% of them all make money. Some less, some more but the top few students are doing about USD$20K-$30K per month. That's over 7 figures a year in RM!

The question is... how can a broke person with zero IT knowledge can achieve all these?

Your mind/mindset is the most powerful asset (or I'd like to call it currency) in this world. When I have nothing (and was broke)...

- I would visualise everyday
- I would work hard and hustle everyday
- I would be resourceful and find ways to solve any challenges that come my way
- I would remind myself to be GRATEFUL and BLESSED everyday

There's no secret so to say. It's pure hustle. Taking massive action. Learning fast and failing fast. Adapting to changes. Improving my knowledge and one more important thing...

Having a mentor.

One of the "shortcuts" that I took is by having successful mentors to guide me throughout all these years. Someone who has been there and done that. I've tried the "free method" of doing it by myself and going through the trial and error method. It's good but it's too slow. I don't have 10 years to wait. Thus, the "strategy" here is to get mentors to teach you what works IMMEDIATELY and get results fast. That was what happened to me and that was what I gave my students. Proven strategies.

This book helped me to be more financially educated. I know there are many other personal finance book out there but this one gave me the most impact. Today, I'm blessed to have financial and time freedom. Thus, I can finally achieve my true dreams of helping others - one of them is to coach more people and help them to building profitable online businesses.

I've been through the hard way. Working on a stressful full-time job to becoming jobless to building a few successful online businesses.

So in a nutshell this was my life for the past 6 years - from beginner being broke to living in this 3-storey house. The car on the left (Proton Saga) is my first ever car when I just graduated from university, working in the bank earning $700/month. The car next to it is a BMW Gran Turismo. Upgrade as a family car. I still keep the old car to remind me of where I come from and always be humble.
