Tsakle’s Teak, is a planned and managed community of 65 detached houses and 24 apartments on a 25-acre lot situated in Teiman, about a kilometre off the Oyarifa-Aburi highway and a 10-minute drive from the Adenta Shell filling Station.
With 4 acres of gardens and parks and 1000 teak trees against a backdrop of the Akwapim hills, the community is based on a philosophy of a green and eco-friendly environment.
Infrastructure includes paved internal roads, covered drains, pedestrian walkways, a local source of treated water, street lighting and an electrical transformer.
The community comes complete with all the amenities available in a typical upper end neighbourhood including central management of common areas, waste and garbage disposal, private internal security and a club house.
Owners and residents become automatic members of a home owners association, which will be responsible for the governance and administration of the community.
The design of the individual houses is driven by simplicity and the need to utilize as much as possible certain key attributes of the natural tropical environment i.e. natural light and ventilation. This is achieved through the use of large openings and the avoidance of double- bunking, creating a continuum between indoors and outdoors in the common living areas.
Houses have either pitched or flat roofs. They sit on plot size 100’ x 80’ (30.5m x 24.4m) minimum. Perimeter walls are of metal, concrete and vegetation; and are designed to enhance ventilation, an open and natural environment, as well as security.
The bungalow types are either 3 or 4 bedroom and come with a single bed out-house. Floor areas range from 120m2 (1506 sq. ft) to 184m2(1980 sq. ft) for the main house.
The storey buildings are also 3 or 4 bedroom and come with a 1 or 2 bedroom out-house. Floor areas range from 160m2 (1722 sq. ft) to 300m2 (3229 sq. ft) for the main house.
