Center for Empowering the Rural Woman (CERW) is pleased to announce the launch of our new project focused on empowering rural women in the Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah Region, And Northern Region of Ghana. We are calling on International NGOs, Local Organizations, Corporate Bodies, Philanthropist And Donor Agencies to support us in this important initiative.

The project aims to provide opportunities for rural women to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities, thus enabling them to become self-sufficient and economically independent. Rural women in these Regions often face significant barriers to accessing education and training, healthcare, and financial resources, which restricts their ability to participate in economic and social development.

On March 8, 2023, the Center for Empowering the Rural Woman CERW will celebrate International Women 39;s Day, a day that recognises women 39;s achievements and promotes gender equality around the world.

As part of efforts to empower women in various parts of the country, the Center for Empowering Rural Women (CERW) and Z-Treebiz, (both NGOs passionate about women empowerment) have organised training for women in some rural parts of Northern Ghana.
Some of these areas include Langbinsi, Sakogu, and Saamini.
The goal of this collaboration was to empower disadvantaged women in Ghana’s rural areas, as well as those who lack the skills or funds to access available resources.
The collaboration btwn CERW & Z-Treebiz is a positive step toward empowering women in Ghana’s rural communities by providing training and support to improve lives. This, in turn, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals of zero poverty, hunger and gender equality.

In partnering, we are able to support grassroot innovations with which more women and children are much involved and will go a long way to improve our economy.

Women of the Nwodua rural area were out in their numbers for the membership documentation. Over 30 women had their information documented as part of our empowerment program.

Nwodua community in the Kumbungu District was our next stop. The women were elated after the discussion and as usual were promised of subsequent visits geared towards their socio-economical empowerment.

The team over the past week made an introductory visit to "Yong Duuni", a community in the Sagnarigu District of the Northern Region. As usual, a discussion was held as some problems were laid and they were assured of subsequent visits as to a way of helping solve some of these problems and further "empower them as socio-economically able women" in the community.
